Federal Engineers Map, dated June 19, 1864, with annotations.

This early map drawn immediately after the opening battles for Petersburg appears to show Confederate lines (red) sketched in for June 17-18. The base map is a very sketchy sun print. Surveyors have been busy inking in actual roads and farm locations.
