City Point Expanding

The City Point page now includes photographic thumbnails with links to The Medford Historical Society Civil War Photograph Collection as well as thumbnails from the Album of Civil War Photographs belonging to Alice Mason at the Boston Athenaeum (link to the general collection). There is some overlap in subjects. Capt. Andrew J. Russell is identified in one photograph from Medford. Broadway Landing photos were moved to their own page.

I pulled out of my attic some old picture and Sketching that I put up their 40 years ago, one of them is from W.M. Waud the Battle of Savage's dated June 28th 1862 it appears to be and original, What do I have, I've not dusted it off or cleaned it. here is the link that was a book published in 1884 showing the same Sketching

If you have an original Waud sketch, it would certainly be valuable monetarily and historically. See https://www.cowanauctions.com/lot/battle-at-savage-station-virginia-june-1862-civil-war-pencil-sketch-by-alfred-r-waud-1958754

You might want to contact the Library of Congress, which has the largest collection of Waud drawings- and would probably like to add to their collection.
